HI

It’s REALLY strange to be starting in and becoming aquainted with a new fandom? It’s been YEARS since I did, and this is the most welcoming bunch yet. I find the Whovians (I am one and love them) are a bit snobby and set in their thoughts, and if you come along with a new theory you get some people who love it and agree with you but WAY MORE who yell at you….they also look down on you if you don’t know everything. I don’t mind this, I did my time as the Noob and watched the old episodes along with the new so I could fit in. If you do know your stuff though you can talk to anyone any time about anything in the series, as long as you don’t mind stares when it gets loud, because it will (though this is the same for all fandoms) be it on the bus (when people, usually middle aged men here in Canada, recognize my DW Tee’s

Harry Potter fans can get kind of scary, what with the built in houses and competition, and the fandom being formed for so many at such a very young age that people are married to their ideas and kind of be mean to those who are new. There are really great sects of people in the fandom, but as a group, we’re kind of intense…… I never went through initiation for HP though, one of the originals. Yay for being the right age at the right time, and liking to read! XD

Sherlock though is a very warm fuzzy place…. probably because of all the sweaters (sorry, jumpers) and the kittens :P When I’m confused about something I ask and get an answer. There are introductory blogs introducing you to the fandom.

Oh, and you guys clearly all do copius amounts of drugs to come up with your ideas :P
